Topimplant breaks through technological barriers and upgrades the edentulous intraoral scanning system!

The traditional method of edentulous jaw modeling requires a combination of intraoral and extraoral procedures, which is cumbersome, time-consuming, and affects the patient experience. In order to improve accuracy, simplify processes, shorten time, and enhance patient experience, Topimplant's R&D team continuously optimizes designs, repeatedly verifies, and launches the new edentulous jaw scanning system TrueFit Pro.

This scanning system aims to solve the probability of deformation caused by data stitching during edentulous jaw scanning. The data matching accuracy can reach 0.005mm and can restore the true position of the implant. Significantly improved the digital implant restoration process for edentulous jaws, accurately obtained implant positions, and accelerated the development of the medical dental industry.

Based on the principle of intraoral scanner and the underlying logic of data stitching at the built-in software level, Topimplant analyzed the current market situation. After more than a year of continuous verification and testing by the R&D department and numerous dental hospital doctors and factory technicians, the TrueFit Pro intraoral scanning system has fundamentally solved the problem of data stitching, thereby accurately obtaining the coordinates of implants in the patient's mouth.

The application of this technology seamlessly integrates with our conventional digital immediate repair process, meeting high-precision requirements for both digital printing and cutting repair. During the surgery, the model is taken, and after the surgery, only the bite or bite relationship needs to be recorded before the surgery, which is more convenient and provides a comfortable experience for the patient compared to traditional repair processes. The TrueFit Pro toothless jaw system, jointly launched by Jizhi and multiple hospitals, has effectively solved the accuracy problem of digitizing upper restoration through intraoral scanning.

Scanbody compatible implant system

The unique design makes TrueFit Pro scanbody compatible with multiple planting systems, requiring only the replacement of the corresponding central screw.

Operation method

STEP 1  Intraoral scanning

When installing TrueFit Pro scanbody, it is necessary to check whether the central screw is tightened, you can check the positioning of the scanbody by observing whether the central screw is flush with the top plane of it or by taking a CT scan.

(Especially when installed on angle multi-unit abutments)

Create an order through oral scanning software and start scanning(Single jaw scanning), then scan the overall contour of the scanbody and try to complete it all at once during the scanning process as much as possible. The top surface and side profile of the scanbody should be scanned completely.  It is recommended to scan from the midline to both sides when scanning. 

On site confirmation of whether the data scanned by the oral scan is complete according to the above requirements

STEP 2  Gingiva scanning

Remove the TrueFit Pro scanbody and install a abutment level protective cap on the multi unite abutment and scan again to obtain the soft tissue gingival morphology.

STEP 3  Temporary denture reverse scanning

The determination of occlusal relationship of immediate restoration can be achieved by repeatedly adjusting 

the occlusion through traditional wax embankments before surgery to achieve the best occlusal state. The occlusal relationship of the final restoration can be determined by scanning temporary denture with a reverse scan analog.

STEP 4  Data concatenation

Simultaneously import the scanning data of the single jaw model of the TrueFit Pro edentulous jaw scanbody and the scanning data of the abutment level scanning cap of the same jaw into the design software. Match scanbody data to generate temporary data for scanning caps then save it. Export saved STL scene files and import it to another order then use the software’s Align Meshes function to generate design data. (The purpose of this step is to obtain the correct soft tissue position)

STEP 5  Design restoration

Create an order and match the scanbody interface, design implant fixed dentures or implant bar overdentures and digital printing models. Or design and print temporary denture bonding multi unit abutment Ti-base.
